Lee is the CEO of Rhodes Advisors, serving clients in higher education and ed tech focused on innovative delivery models and revenue growth strategies.
Prior to forming his firm, Lee led Noodle, Inc., as both its Chief Revenue and Chief Strategy Officer. Lee played a pivotal role in spearheading strategic initiatives that delivered a significant 60% year-over-year revenue growth from 2017 through 2023, leading the company to nine-figure ARR. He directed a robust sales team and was instrumental in architecting Noodle’s innovative employer-partnership model. This model successfully attracted first partners such as Warby Parker, Vision Source, and Mon Health, contributing to an expansion in customer segments for long-term financial success. Lee and the management team at Noodle secured a $50M Series C led by BlackRock with follow-on investments from Owl Ventures, SWaN & Legend, Osage Venture Partners, ValueAct Capital, and Rethink Education.
Before Noodle, Lee was an executive at 2U, Inc., where he was responsible for securing new university partnerships leading up to and after its IPO in 2014. His earliest work at 2U on the technology team offered him the chance to collaborate with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google, and MongoDB to build infrastructure with the IT teams at prestigious universities like Georgetown University, University of California, Berkeley, and Yale University. His efforts resulted in the deployment of more CapEx-eligible software in 18 months than in the previous five years of 2U’s operations.
Lee is an investor and advisory board member in ed-tech start-ups and sits on the advisory board of his alma mater’s business school.
