Jose is a multifaceted professional with a diverse educational background and career journey. Graduating from both Virginia Tech and George Mason University, he holds a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the latter institution. His initial venture into the workforce as an elementary school teacher was fueled by a deep-seated desire to empower others to achieve success. Transitioning into the dynamic realm of hospitality, Jose found his niche in Marriott’s sales team, where he adeptly utilized his interpersonal skills to thrive in the competitive landscape of hospitality sales.
However, Jose’s appetite for growth and adaptability led him to undertake a significant career shift amid the pandemic. Embracing the challenges of the evolving business landscape, he transitioned into the role of customer success manager. Here, he not only fine-tuned his knack for fostering strategic alliances but also provided invaluable support to small and medium-sized businesses and enterprise customers navigating uncertain times.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Jose finds solace and joy in cheering for his beloved Hokies and Commanders at home in Richmond, Virginia. Alongside his two cats, dog, chickens, wife, and one-year-old daughter, he relishes in the simple pleasures of family life by exploring new restaurants, discovering parks, and sampling offerings from local breweries, cideries, and wineries.
