Mastering the art of asking good questions is essential for navigating a sale and securing deals. Thoughtful questions allow you to discover client needs and pain points, identify risk, and challenge assumptions. We at Maestro Group recognize the importance of this skill, which is why we use and recommend GoTensai.com. Tensai is a free app—developed as a side passion project by members of Maestro Group—to help sales professionals master question-asking.

At the core of Tensai’s methodology are question trees. Question trees are flow charts that outline how a salesperson anticipates a conversation will unfold, preparing them for any response and ensuring they always have a productive follow-up question ready.

Tensai’s Daily DRIVE feature is a seven-minute practice that fits seamlessly into any sales professional’s busy schedule. Using the DRIVE information-gathering framework (D – Decision Making, R – Resources, I – Impact, V – Velocity, E – Expectations), Tensai will provide an AI-generated, open-ended question. The user then provides three or more likely responses a prospect could give. Tensai selects a response, and the user formulates a follow-up question. The process repeats itself until the seven minutes have passed.

Users can also use Tensai’s Training feature, which allows them to input their own questions and practice question trees without a time limit. A third Tensai option, Analyze, guides the user through a series of questions based on the DRIVE framework to determine the likeliness of their deal closing. The software will then prompt them to work a question tree based on the missing information.

Whether you want to get better at DRIVE or asking questions in general, we recommend Tensai as part of your daily routine. We’ve seen firsthand how it’s improved sales performance for our clients. All it takes is seven minutes a day!
